7th EUPLAN International Conference

Welcome to the upcoming EUPLAN (European Platelet Network) 2025 meeting in Würzburg, Germany – a city located in the heart of the European Union. As EUPLAN continues its commitment to fostering international collaboration and promoting platelet and megakaryocyte research, this conference provides an excellent platform for exchanging information and advancing both basic and clinical research. Our goal is to bring together senior and young scientists and clinicians from across Europe to share exciting scientific discoveries. We look forward to welcoming you in Würzburg.

Travel Information

Trams no. 1 and 5 depart from stop main station east and will stop directly in front of the University Hospital Campus (“Uniklinikum Bereich D”).

Some hotels (Ghotel, Moxy, AC Hotel) are in walking distance (15 – 20 minutes).

The fee-paying car park (Oberdürrbacher Str., 97080 Würzburg) is a 15-minute walk away. Alternatively, you can take the shuttle bus.

The three nearest international airports are located in Frankfurt am Main, Nuremberg and Munich. From there, you can reach Würzburg main station (Würzburg Hbf) using trains:

Frankfurt International Airport (FRA): Trains directly connect the airport to Würzburg Hbf. (1.5 hours)

Munich Airport (MUC): Take the S1 or S8 to München Hbf. From there, trains run to Würzburg Hbf. (3 hours)

Nuremberg (NUE): Take the U2 to Nürnberg Hbf. From there, trains run to Würzburg Hbf. (1.5 hours)

Würzburg is very well connected to the German Railroad’s (Deutsche Bahn) system of fast trains (Intercity Express, ICE). Trains from all directions arrive several times per hour.

You can reach Würzburg via three highways:

A3 (Cologne – Frankfurt am Main – Würzburg – Nuremberg – Regensburg – Munich)

A7 (Hamburg – Hannover – Würzburg – Ulm)

A81 (Stuttgart – Heilbronn – Würzburg)
